About Doug Clark
 


Doug Clark was born September 15, 1957 in Vallejo, California. He stayed in California until he was 5, when he moved to Hawaii for four years. After that, his family moved back to Lemoore, California and then to Cypress, California until he graduated from high school in 1975. Doug then entered the U.S. Navy for three years and then took a job as a stocker at Long's Drugs. He then became a photographer's assistant at Unitek Corp and later became the lead photographer. Doug learned everything he knows from an previous coworker, Erik Walterscheld. Doug graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography and moved from California to Washington state in 1981, where he has lived ever since. He worked briefly in cable installing and then took the job he still holds, manager of Lake City Picture and Framing.

Doug's camera preference is generally a digital Canon ___, using the 50x200 lens most often. He enjoys taking photographs in Skagit Valley, with its very large bird population, specifically bald eagles, geese and swans. He also enjoys shooting at Juanita Bay Park and takes his camera everywhere he goes.
